"The dogs who found me" - Ken Foster

Generally, I prefer fiction but I've found this autobiographical book very interesting.

The author is an accidental dog rescuer ;) Everywhere he goes he finds some animals that need help. The story is set in a very special time: Foster was in New York on 9/11 and lived in New Orleans (though wasn't home) when hurricane Katrina hit. He gives some practical advice, also on preparation for 'the unexpected'.

Like all real lovers of pit bulls, am-staffs ant rottweilers Foster is against the irrational policy of PETA (so called Breed Specific Legislation). Extinction of some breeds won't make some people more responsible...

The biggest disadvantage of the book is a lack of pictures. I'd love to see Brando, Zephyr, Sula and other dogs mentioned by Foster :)
